Steam, bake, boil, shake…welcome to the taste space!
I realized this needed to be updated as the blog has changed since it was first created.
It was originally created by a group of gals from Toronto, Canada. Each lovers of food, hailing from different places, we still meet every month or so over a potluck to catch up over some tasty food. It is also a great way to try new recipes with other adventurist eaters.
However, as time progressed, not everyone continued with posting to the blog.
A bit more about me: I moved to Toronto four years ago to work and my kitchen has relished ever since. I love exploring new ethnic grocery stores. Most of my dishes are inspired by my travels. As I have recently been to Japan, Turkey and Morocco (the photo is from the cooking class I took in Istanbul), I have been exploring with bringing Asia and the Middle East back home into my kitchen. I try to explore simple, healthy, tasty cooking. I also believe that everything is ok in moderation which is why there are some decadent desserts here too.
In March 2011, I adopted a whole foods vegan diet without refined sugars or flours. Since I was cooking mainly vegetarian, and do my own cooking, this wasn’t that difficult for me. Plus, I feel great!
